2012 NFL Mock Draft Pick 2

The Pick is In (Wait for Chris Berman to stop gabbing)

With the Second Overall Pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins will select:

Washington Redskins: Robert Griffin III QB, Baylor

Much like the Colts choice of Andrew Luck, this is a no-brainer.  The Redskins have long been hurting for a quarterback and they did not trade away three first round picks and a second round pick to draft anything short of a potential superstar QB.

Griffin has shown all the intangibles of a great QB, he is poised, smart, confident, has a great arm, and can run well.  If you remember correctly, Baylor's football program was a laughing stock before Griffin came along....in fact so were almost all of their sports.  Griffin is so good that he changed the face of an entire school.

There is no better place for a son of a military man like Griffin to land than in Washington, and expect him to guide the Redskins away from their years of mediocrity.
